The Cookie Tree, Inc. has mentored many families that have been able to open their own gourmet cookie business. The Cookie Tree has consulted with the owners of new cookie stores in Chico, Corona, Elk Grove, Gridley, Redding, Roseville, and Woodland California, and in states of Texas and Oregon.  While each store has a unique name and owner, and very different decors and styles, some may even take credit for the recipes they use, the foundation of our business is what got them started. 

To open a gourmet cookie bakery, entrepreneurs would need approximately $250,000 to $350,000 in liquid capital to realistically open and operate a store in todays economy.  Dedication and commitment to quality and a consistent product is just a small part of what makes a retail bakery business successful.
